What Is INTEGRAL

INTEGRAL is a modern and lightweight cross-platform electronic publishing system. Its key component, INTEGRAL DSL, is a robust, extensible and elegant scripting language that makes it possible to easily build e-books, journals, manuals, catalogues, brochures, magazines and similar publications, or generate interactive HTML pages and dynamic web content.

INTEGRAL software is available as two packages: INTEGRAL Desktop and INTEGRAL Server. Both can interpret INTEGRAL DSL (or execute INTEGRAL bytecode) and rapidly generate electronic documents and page previews in standard web formats such as PDF, SVG, PNG, JPEG etc. Both are available for Windows, Mac and Linux. INTEGRAL Desktop is intended to be used directly by users on their PC or distributed as part of their own software products. INTEGRAL Server is a standalone web and application server suitable for serving static and dynamic content over the Internet and building all kinds of INTEGRAL based web publishing services, websites and web applications.

INTEGRAL is a short form for “Integrated Text, Graphics And Layout”. As such, it's always written in capital letters.
